On some of our Public Pages, like CMB and EduCMB we placed several Link Modules to show links to content on the website of our library. The Link Module then displays a Thumbnail from that page/site. A few day ago suddenly the thumbnails for links within the www.rug.nl domain were replaced with little indecent pictures, clearly not coming from this university portal. Quick contact with Netvibes , resulted in quick action: they decided to block thumbnails for www.rug.nl at once, and investigate. My question to them : is the rug-site hijacked or the Thumbshots.org-site? The outcome is still unsure, they now noticed trouble with Thumbshots and Google Groups as well. They DID act quickly again in adjusting the Link Module: you now can turn the Thumbnail ON or OFF!. A returning question from participants in workshops and courses about using RSS & Personal Start Pages & Netvibes, is "How can I track the use of the Public Page (Universe) by Netvibes?) And what about the use of the Search & News widgets?" I am still looking for a good answer for the widgets tracking, because Netvibes is not offering tracking of individual widgets at this time, and I haven't heard any talk about it. So for this, we can only see the downloads from the eco.netvibes.com or widgetbox.com sites. (Google is offering -for their own gadgets- a manual for gadget tracking . The 11th Conference of the European Association of Health Information and Libraries was a big success. Over 450 people visited, the scientific programm was impressive. It was hard (almost impossible) to choose sessions that could be skipped, to explore the city and country more. For me it was an extremely intense, unforgettable conference, perfectly organised by our Finnish colleagues. Their openness and involvement was tremendous.
