Improve the alert service of Metalib by RSS-feeds?

David Walker's Awesome "RSS Creator" for Libraries The Shifted Librarian mentioned it in her Blog and today the subject came up in a discussion about Metalib/SFX3 in the configuration of the Library of the University of Groningen! It looks like a very good idea and certainly worth a try. Create for every journal available in the sfx-database an RSS-feed and make it available in SFX and Metalib. It has great potential for alerting services!
