Today Harold Varmus, Nobel Prize winner, is talking on "Open Access Publishing in the Biomedical Sciences" at the Gonick Amphitheater on the NMC Campus (in Second Life)
Varmus is president of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, former director of the NIH, co-founder and chair of PLoS, and co-recipient of a Nobel Prize for studies of genetic basis of cancer.
Varmus is speaking as part of the
De Lange Conference on Emerging Libraries.
