The annual Horizon Report of the New Media Consortium (NMC) and the EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI)identifies and describes each year six areas of emerging technology likely to have a significant impact on teaching, learning, or creative expression in higher education within three adoption horizons: a year or less, two to three years, and four to five years.
The areas cited for 2006 are:
• Social computing
• Personal broadcasting
• Cell-phone-accessible educational content and services
• Educational gaming
• Augmented reality and enhanced visualization
• Context-aware environments and devices

KOPERNIO extension to find PDF's : plus Open Access button, Unpaywall, Google Scholar and Connect UPDATED!
UPDATE: Clarivate Analytics Acquires Research Startup Kopernio to Accelerate Pace of Scientific Innovation I am currently testing 4 browser extensions in Chrome that can help me find the PDF i need. This new company has been founded just 8 months ago. The Kopernio extension was released just in March 2017. Currently the Kopernio button is in alpha-testing and so far it seems free. The previous name appeared to be a tribute to the #ICANHAZPDF movement (requesting pdf's via Twitter with this hashtag). ...
